Isaiah Washington Accuses ABC Of Racism

Should Isaiah Washington have been booted from Grey’s after his private (albeit homophobic) remark about fellow castmate T.R. Knight become public?
It’s hard to say definitively, but a couple of things are for certain. First, the decision, while negligibly controversial, was nonetheless justifiable based on the circumstances. And second, in canning Washington, ABC definitely did themselves a huge favor by neatly detaching themselves from what can best be described as a loose cannon.
And not only does Washington seems to be suffering from an endless bout of sour grapes, but his latest graceless tirade is a shameful act of self promotion and the racial equivalent of the pot calling the kettle biased.
Yep, following closely in the not-at-all illustrious footsteps of Vivica A. Fox, who attributed her recent DUI to (what else?) police discrimination, Washington has opted against leaving quietly and retaining any remaining shreds of dignity in favor of throwing an immature temper tantrum and equating the Grey’s producers to a bunch of old, white plantation owners.
Whines Washington:
“My mistake was believing that I would get the support from my network and all of my cast mates across the board. My mistake was believing I could correct a wrong with honesty and sincerity,” he said in the interview posted online Thursday.
“My mistake was thinking black people get second chances. I was wrong on all fronts,” he said.
Yes, because clearly the show that promoted an interracial relationship between the black cardio-thorassic surgeon and the Asian surgical intern was clearly just a transparent front for the KKK.
Memo to Isaiah Washington: You were not fired for being an assertive black man. You were fired for being a egotistical douchebag who hates gay people. And as such, you’re just about the last person who should be going around representing himself as the poster boy for minority rights.
