Have you heard the news? Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and the boring redhead are gearing up to reprise their career defining roles for a 2-hour SATC movie spectacular! Yes, we know, you’ve heard this all before, but this time TV Guide swears it’s for real, and promises an official announcement within the week.

“New Line Cinema is on the verge of closing a deal to distribute the pic in association with HBO,” writes Michael Ausiello. “Shooting is slated to begin in mid-September with Sex symbols Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and, yes, Kim Cattrall, reprising their signature roles.”

And while we’re looking forward to seeing the bedhopping, Manolo Blahnik wearing, diaphragm toting singletons jump back in the saddle, we’re wondering what inspired the sudden change of heart for attractive older woman, Kim Cattrall. Though the “star” has no official comment, we’re told that her about-face may have something to do with renewed relations with former castmate/sometimes bag lady Cynthia Nixon, significant script rewrites, and the fact that she hasn’t landed a Maybelline contract, launched a new clothing line or even fielded a single offer since the series ended on February 22, 2004.
